·Venous system diseases: commonly used in varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis of lower limbs

1.Arterial system diseases:

·Atherosclerosis, arterial thrombosis of lower limbs, vasculitis, etc.;

·Atherosclerosis: Pathogenesis of atherosclerosis is complex，with the main causative factors including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, alcoholism, smoking, and genetic factors. Atherosclerosis can cause blood supply disorder, arteriosclerosis obliterans and other complications, with common symptoms such as dizziness, angina pectoris, and lower limb pain. The main treatments include diet control, lifestyle adjustment of balancing exercise and rest, drug treatment and surgical treatment.

2. Venous system diseases:

·Varicose veins, lower limb vein thrombosis, phlebitis, etc.

·Varicose veins are mainly caused by congenital weakness of vascular wall membrane, prolonged holding of the same posture, destruction of venous valves, and other factors. These factors could result in high venous pressure which causes blood vessels to protrude from the skin surface. The clinical symptoms of patients with varicose veins are soreness, swelling, fatigue, and the bulging, dilating, and twisting of the superficial veins of the affected limbs.

·The main treatments include compression therapy, drug therapy, and surgical treatment.
